GLAD Canada Program/ Arthritis Management Services
The GLA:D® program is an education and exercise program that has helped thousands of people with hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA) manage their symptoms of pain and loss of function. The program reflects the latest OA research and has been developed based on feedback from people with OA, as well as a healthcare professional who provide care to individuals with mild to severe symptoms. GLA:D® therefore provides an evidence-based approach that works in the real world. The GLA:D® program is unique in that the education and exercises provided can be applied to everyday activities. By strengthening and correcting daily movement patterns, participants will train their bodies to move properly, prevent symptom progression and reduce pain.
If the GLA:D certified physiotherapist feels like the program is not the right fit for your functional level, they will suggest a more individualized treatment plan based on the same principles & theories applied in the The GLA:D® program.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor therapy focuses on pelvic floor muscle discomfort, weakness, and dysfunction. This specialty involves the muscles and tissues that form a sling-like structure in the lower pelvis. The pelvic muscles are essential to the body, as they support the bladder, bowel, and uterus.

At Ace Physique, our registered acupuncturists don't just focus on the disease, injury or diagnosis. Instead, they utilize a more holistic approach investigating your body as a whole, looking at your body systems as well as your mental and emotional health. Your Ace Acupuncturists will conduct a detailed assessment to determine which areas may need focus to restore balance and stimulate more optimal functioning. Once your registered acupuncturist has determined the areas that require focus, they will utilize a variety of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) modalities including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and more in order to naturally restore harmony within your body and stimulate the nervous system to do the work it needs to do for healing. Acupuncture treatment involves inserting fine, sterile needles to specific anatomical points. Insertion of the needles can be used to promote circulation of blood and oxygen, to stimulate the nerves and nervous system, clear energy pathway blockages and is also used activate an immune response to aid in tissue healing. Concussion Rehabilitation
A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that occurs when a blow, jolt or impact to the head or the body causes the brain to move rapidly back and forth within the skull. This movement can lead to a disruption in normal brain function resulting in various symptoms such as confusion, dizziness, memory loss, headache and altered consciousness. Injury around the neck, including ligament and muscle injury, as well as to the vestibular system may also occur with concussions leading to a complex symptom picture.

Vestibular Rehabilitation
Vestibular Rehabilitation is a type of physiotherapy which aims to alleviate symptoms caused by vestibular disorders. Signs and symptoms include: Vertigo (spinning in the environment); Dizziness; Imbalance or disequilibrium; Blurry or bouncy vision; Nausea; Hearing changes; And problems with coordination, thinking, and/or memory.
Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of physical therapy that focusses on alleviating symptoms caused by disorders of the vestibular system. The vestibular system is a complex network of structures within the inner ear and brain that contributes to our sense of balance and spatial awareness. Vestibular rehabilitation is designed to address issues related to vertigo, dizziness, imbalance, nausea, blurry or bouncy vision and other symptoms arising from dysfunction of the vestibular system.
At Ace Physique, our specialized Vestibular therapists have advanced training in the assessment and treatment of the vestibular system. Your Vestibular therapist will work with you to reduce your symptoms through targeted exercises and evidence based maneuvers. These exercises aim to enhance the brains ability to adapt to changes in the vestibular system and improve overall stability and coordination. Our approach is individualized, evidence based and proven to promote long term improvement in your symptoms.
TMJ Dysfunction Rehab | Jaw Pain Physiotherapy
Symptoms of Temporomandibular (TMJ) Disorder vary greatly and can include:
* Temporal headaches, especially in the morning
* clicking, popping, or grating noises with jaw movement
* reduced mobility or locking of the TMJ
* jaw pain
* ear pain
* tightness in the muscles of the cheek
* wear patterns on the teeth

Physio Pilates
At Ace Physique, Pilates sessions offered by experienced Pilates instructors who have advanced training in rehabilitation and special conditions. Pilates is a safe and effective exercise system. Pilates exercises will help strengthen and tone muscles, increase flexibility, enhance the activation of postural muscles, challenge cardiovascular system and improve overall fitness. The focus of all Pilates exercises is on appropriate alignment of the spine and pelvis with an emphasis on breathing and inner unit core muscles.
One-on-one Pilates sessions are individualized to your specific needs in order to optimize your performance in work, life and play!
